Here's why you may never see another Photoshopped ad again
Tue Jun 21, 2016
I completely support stopping the use of photoshopping people in advertisements. That said, lightening or tanning the skin of a model doesn't seem to apply to any kind of truth in advertising laws - unless you are selling the model. If you are selling the clothes and the clothes have not been altere …
Woman shares outrage over H&M's 'unrealistically small' jeans
Mon Jun 20, 2016
omg, ladies. Get over it. Stop letting outside, third-party sources affect your self-esteem. Stop caring about what other people think of you. Stop complaining about things you can't control. Stop thinking you are the center of the universe. You'll be much happier. I promise.

Teen calls out American Eagle for inconsistent women's sizes
Wed May 25, 2016
Honestly, I'm not convinced the ranter didn't make some folding adjustments to the size 10 in order to make them look smaller in the waist so she could feel like she actually had something to rant about. If you look closely, the leg width of the size 10 is clearly larger than the size 4. Becaus …
'Hi, Anxiety': Women hide their mental illness out of shame, says author
Wed May 25, 2016
I have anxiety and, though until recently I have mostly kept it private, I have never been ashamed of it. Just as I was getting used to telling more people about it, there are all these articles calling it a mental illness. I don't see it as a mental illness (though mine is fairly mild, I can see ho …
TSA offers apology after Amy Van Dyken says she was 'humiliated' by agent in Denver
Wed May 4, 2016
The first red flag is that it was a man patting down a women - isn't the policy that same genders perform the pat down? (I haven't flown in years because I'm not ok with the TSA procedures so I'm not 100% up-to-date on the rules).
Rumer Willis accuses photographer of 'bullying' her with Photoshopped pic
Wed May 4, 2016
I totally agree with the point she is making - there is no purpose in photoshopping someone to make them look different than they actually do and I support any anti-photoshop movement. That said, not everything you don't like is bullying - I think we're overusing that term and it is beginning to los …

'Dads Don't Babysit' T-shirt sparks parenting debate online
Fri Apr 29, 2016
I couldn't agree with this statement more! I can't even count the number of times I've been out with a group of women when one women asks another "Where are your kids?" and the answer is "Their dad is babysitting them." No he isn't! He is their dad. He isn't a babysitter he is a parent and it is his …
Woman's photos after panic attack aim to de-stigmatize mental illness
Wed Apr 13, 2016
Please remember everyone is different and everyone experiences their panic attacks differently. If, during one of mine, someone tried to make eye contact or reassure me, I might punch them in the face (I wouldn't really but I would really, really want to). I just need to be left alone during mine.
